Automation Level 1 represents the operational centre of the production line. Its main component is the PLC, an industrial digital computer adapted for the control of manufacturing processes.

To enable operators to monitor and control the production line, it is possible to install:

• Pulpit operator that makes the movement of certain line components possible.
• Operator panels: graphic supervision systems that allow operators to carry out short localised production processes.
• HMI station, located on the main operator pulpit, which allows operators to: 

• manually enter production data.
• monitor and supervise the entire production process.
• receive information on defects and/or anomalies.
• receive information from the security system.
